Lectio Divina, literally 'divine reading,' is an ancient Christian practice of praying the Scriptures not as texts to be studied, but as the living Word to be heard by the ear of the heart & meditated on by the mind, listened to by the soul & applied by the will.

Imaginative Contemplation is prayer utilizing Scripture. It is meeting God through Bible stories like children do. The prayer develops as you “live into” a Scripture story with all your senses and imagination. You become a participant in the story, and you continue in the story reflecting on God after the reading ends.

The Welcome Prayer is a practice of consenting to God's presence and action in our physical and emotional reactions to events and situations in daily life. This practiced purposeful 'arrow prayer' deepens our relationship with God in the ordinary activities of our day.

The practice of honoring 'the hours' that the earth's turning offers us: midnight, dawn, midmorning, noon, midafternoon, evening & night. These times have been hallowed by centuries of devotion & prayer with psalms supplemented by hymns, and readings.
